The first Stony Stratford food festival has been and gone. We're sorry if you missed it. We'll be doing it all gain next year, from 6 - 14 September 2013.  So, as they say: watch this space!

- Pick up a quiz sheet from Well Past It in Timor Court and elsewhere.  Answers by March 31st.

Feastival Table Centrepieces - Back to the Fuchsia, 75 High Street.  For Feastival Jill has designed and made a lovely table decoration for your next dinner party. Or you can just pop in to say hello and admire her work.

A Fair Feast in Stony - Feb 26th to March 10th at Stony Stratford Library. Free entry.  Part of the local “Fairtrade Fortnight” – Where can you get wonderful coffee, tea, tasty snacks, and more and know that the producers are getting their fair share of the profits?

Stani Gallery - 61High Street, will have a window display of original paintings and other artwork, mainly by local artists, on the Feastival theme.

The Oxfam Shop
- 12 High Street, is mounting a special window exhibition for Feastival.

Frog Island Fiesta -
The White Horse, 49 High Street, a popular CAMRA-listed pub, will be stocking beers from Stony’s favourite brewery. Watch out for Natterjack, Shoemaker (well, the brewery is in Northampton), Fire-Bellied Toad, and maybe, just maybe, Croak & Stagger.

Friday 24th February

Farmers’ Market
-  The “last-Friday-of-the-month” market at Market Square.  8am - 2pm. A fine selection of organic meats, breads, juices, vegetables, plus home-made pies, pickles, and meals.

Girls' Night Out – Not A Beer About - The Bull Hotel, High Street, Stony Stratford. 7 – 11.30pm. Jackie and Clare (who are De-Luscious) invite you to a mainly (but certainly not exclusively) girls’ evening of cocktails, canapés and danceable salsa beats. (Actually, there will be beer for those who want it). £12.50, includes canapés and a drink on arrival. Phone 01908 567104.

Saturday 25th February

7th Cock & Bull Real Beer Festival
- at York House Centre, London Road, noon – 11.pm both days. Highly popular little beer festival with 20 local-ish beers, 5 ciders (two from Milton Keynes!) and a perry. RSPCA Shop Produce Sale - Church Street, 10am–2.00pm. Home-made cakes, jams, chutneys, pet treats…. available for sale in a good cause

English & French Food Market - Odell's Yard, 9am – 3pm. Mouth-watering food available in delightful surrounding. A heady mixture of local and authentic French produce will be available.

Timor Court Market - just off the High Street by NatWest bank - 9am to 4pm. The regular market with The Happy Carrot’s fruit and vegetables, the pie-man, the olive-man, the coffee- & tea-man, the plant&flower-man, and the fresh-fish-man (and lady!).

Sunday 26th February

Traditional Afternoon Tea
- The Bull Hotel, High Street.  2.30 – 5.00pm. De-Luscious presents a tea like Grandma used to serve, with cake-stands, doilies and proper china.  £6.00 per person. Phone 01908 567104.

Tuesday 28th February

A Chilli Chill-out The Kardamom Lounge, High Street. 7.30pm. A succulent Kardamom set-meal (yes, vegetarians can be catered for), with some soothing, easily-digested music from Neil Mercer and John Montague. Fast Before Feast
- St Mary & St Giles Church, High Street. 12-2.00pm. A modest lunch of bread, cheese and water in the Christian tradition. Free entry, but a donation for the food would be appreciated.

Get Spicy - The Cock Hotel, High Street, offers a choice of five aromatic curries with rice and a drink for just £7.45.

Dining in the Dark - Calcutta Brasserie, St Paul’s Court, High Street. This is the traditional night that women propose to men. The lights in the restaurant will go out and be lit by the romantic glow of candlelight. Each table has the option of using the blindfold while trying the specially created three-course meal - this really does heighten your sense of taste. £18.95 per person. Lunchtime Concert
- St Mary & St Giles Church. High Street. 12.30 – 1.30pm. Free entry. Fair Trade drinks and cakes/biscuits offered throughout. Bring your own sandwiches and share your lunchtime (or as long as you can spare) and enjoy entertainment  with some popular music.  All ages most welcome.

Musical Jam - The White Horse, 49 High Street. 8.30pm. Free entry. Bring you instrument and/or voice and join in an acoustic (ie no electricity except what’s in your hair) open session with songs and tunes celebrating food and drink. Apple Tree Planting - York House, London Road. 1 pm. This apple tree, which will be listed in the Woodland Trust's new Royal Record, celebrates Her Majesty The Queen's historic 2012 Diamond Jubilee, will be the first fruit tree of the new Community Fruit Garden to be established during 2012.
