Entertainment in Stony Stratford

Wining and dining have been part of Stony Stratford's reason for existence for many centuries. It was here that coaches in the era of horse-drawn travel stopped to change horses and travellers rested and it is said that the 'cock and bull story' originated from The Cock and The Bull.

Another public house has received more recent recognition for its starring role in the cult film 'Withnail & I' when The Crown featured as The King Henry public house.

Good food from many different countries can be found in the town's wide variety of restaurants.

Several of Stony's pubs host entertainment of the musical kind and the town is well-known for jazz, folk, R&B as well as rock and tribute bands.

The town's Christmas Lights are known as the best in the region and Folk on the Green in June has been running for over 30 years.
